These values only applies to GeoBars. Some of them have no effect if the bar is skinned.
With one exception, all Gripper styles are create equal when it comes to coloring GeoBars and the gripper style used in these screenshots shouldn't make that big of a difference. For that reason, I have choosen to use the Standard style:
But would like to point out that the Colored style is the one exception I pointed out earlier, it has the ability to use three additional colors to paint it's gripper:
Looking Closer..
I've magnified a normal GeoBar to give us a better view of how it is drawn on the screen. An interesting thing to point out about the screenshots I have made for this page is that I have my Bar High Edge and Bar Low Edge both set to Black - this creates a nice outlined look on my GeoBars.
Bar Background
Bar Inset Background
Highlighted in blue, this area is the main background color of a GeoBar. When a GeoBar is skinned, this color is never visible.
The inset background is the main color for inset regions of a Geobar. This color remains visible when GeoBars are skinned because inset regions of the bar are currently not included in the GeoShell skin format.
Bar High Edge
Bar Highlight
Typically this color, if you were trying to produce a very 3-D look to your GeoBars would be the lightest version of your Bar Background color. My screenshot however, has this color set very dark to match the Bar Lowlight and outline the entire GeoBar. When skinned this color remains visible around inset plugins.
For the 3-D effect, this color should typically be lighter than the Bar Backgroud but darker than the Bar High Edge. This color is still visible around inset areas of the GeoBar and around flashing buttons (explained later on this page), when skins are used.
