The GeoBar is the basic element of GeoShell. It holds GeoShell Plugins which provide most of the functionality of GeoShell. While the bars are not able to be resized manually, you can do some GeoShell Making Skins. Right-clicking on the GeoGripper (the little bits on the ends of the bars) will bring up the Gripper Menu from which you can add/remove plugins, close the bar, lock the bar to a certain screen location, etc.

Registry Settings

The setting for each GeoBar are located at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Geo\GeoShell\Services\Plugins\GeoBar (X).

Setting Description & Possible Values
AlignTo Affects where the bar is anchored when it grows or shrinks. 0 = left/top; 1 = center/middle; 2 = right/bottom.
Alpha Blend Sets the transparency of the bar. 0 (transparent) to 255 (opaque).
Alpha Blend when MouseOver Sets the transparency of the bar when the mouse hovers over it. 0 (transparent) to 255 (opaque).
Always On Bottom This is not used.
Always On Top Set whether bars should stay on top of other windows. 1 = Topmost; 0 = Normal.
Auto Hide Bar auto hide mode. 0 = No hide; 1 = Gripper hide; 2 = Edge hide.
Auto Hide Delay Time in milliseconds for the bar to remain in normal (unhidden) state when the mouse leaves, used only if the GeoBar is set to autohide. eg: 1000 is 1 second; 500 is 1/2 second.
Bar Name Sets the name of the bar. Bars with no name will not appear in the 2K/XP Task Manager.
BarShadow WinXP only. Sets whether the bar should have a shadow. 0 = no shadow; 1 = shadow.
Edge Hide Size Sets the thickness of the bar in pixels while in Edge Hide mode. If you bars seem to go missing when in Edge Hide mode, try increasing this value. Normal values are 2 to 4.
Fade This Bar 2K/XP only. Controls whether the bar's transparency setting is used. 0 = no transparency; 1 = use transparency.
FullScreen Action Hides the bar when an application switches to fullscreen mode. 0 = don't hide; 1 = hide. Note: when DesktopSize is not set, or is set to all zeros, any window that covers the whole screen will cause the bars to hide. A simple workaround for this is to set one of the DesktopSize margins to 1 or 2.
Gripper Style For unskinned bars only. Use the bar menu to select a gripper style.
Horizontal Distance in pixels from the screen edge to the bar's anchor (AlignTo) point.
Lock Bar Prevent the bar from being moved with the mouse. When locked, holding the CTRL key allows the bar to be dragged. 0 = not locked; 1 = locked. This option is in the bar's menu.
Monitor For multi-monitor systems, this saves which monitor the bar is located on.
Orientation Bar orientation. 0 = horizontal; 1 = vertical.
Skinned 0 = not skinned; 1 = skinned.
Skins Path to skin folder. If this is blank, the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Geo\GeoShell\ShellUI\Skins value will be used instead.
SnapTo Sets how far the bar will jump (in pixels) to snap to the edge of the screen when dragging.
SnapTo-Offset When using a skinny skin, set this to something like -3 or -4 to removed the gap between the bar and the edge of the screen.
TransparentColor The color that isn't shown by the bar so it becomes transparent. Since Beta2 the setting is according to all bar and menu color settings RRR,GGG,BBB For more info check Transparent GeoBars.
Vertical Distance in pixels from the screen edge to the bar's anchor point.

Note:
Other values, such as Left and Top, are not used anymore.
