Usage

The GeoMail plugin checks your pop e-mail and displays the status on your GeoBar. It handles dial- up and disconnect through a modem. You can configure more than one instance of GeoMail, each looking at a different e-mail account.

Be aware, that your passwords are stored as plain text!

Settings

Set the following registry keys in HKCU\Software\geO\geOShell\Plugins\geOMailX_Y:

POPPass Text your.pop.password POP server password (required)
POPPort Number 110 POP server port (required)
AutoCheck 0,1 1 Check for mail automatically (or not). Set this via the plugin menu
AutoCheckInterval Number 5 Interval in minutes between auto-checks
CheckAtStartup 0,1 0 If 1, checks for e-mail as soon as the plugin starts
DialUpConnect Automatically,AskFirst,Never AskFirst Controls how geOMail initiates an Internet connnection
DisconnectWhenDone 0,1 1 If 1, disconnects when e- mail check is complete
EmailClientPath Text C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE Path to your prefered email client
NumMessages Number 0 Number of messages on the server
AlertOnErrors 0,1 0 Set this via the plugin menu
AlertOnNewMail 0,1 1 Set this via the plugin menu
AlertOnNoNewMail 0,1 0 Set this via the plugin menu
AlertOnStillNewMail 0,1 0 Set this via the plugin menu
ICON_Checking Text   Full path to new Icon or app containing it

The POP.... config entries set up your e-mail account location and security details. The ICON.... entries allow you replace the default icons used by the plugin. A right click on the plugin icon brings up the control menu. A shift right double click on the plugin icon recycles it and reloads all config data.
