Description

GeoTasks is a plugin which displays currently running applications (tasks) on a geoBar. It is one of the "core" plugins, and is therfore always included in the geoShell download packages.

GeoTasks relies on the geoShell TasksService for some of it's features, and for that reason you may want to configure the Task Settings as well as the plugin settings listed below, as they control (for instance) the options that are present in the application button's right-click menus.

Registry Settings

AlwaysShowMenu

Determines whether Geotasks will display the advanced geotasks menu on right-click. If set to No, the menu can be opened by ctrl-right-clicking.

CombineItems

Determines whether Geotasks with group all instances of a task into one icon.

Flash Time (milliseconds)

Specifies the duration of each flash. Because the individual programs decided how OFTEN a task flashes, this setting only affects how LONG each flash lasts. Smaller numbers = shorter flashes.

Flash Type

Any combination of "Flash", "Border", and "Press" separated by a pipe (|). Flash changes the background color of the task button. Border draws a border around the task button. Press moves the icon a few pixels as if it were being pressed.

Mark Foreground Task

Determines whether Geotasks will mark the active task by drawing a border around it.

Plugin Min Width

Specifies the minimum width for Geotasks when captions are enabled.

Plugin Width Hint

Specifies the size Geotasks will make each task when captions are enabled. If that width is not possible, the task width will be as close to this setting as possible.

Show Captions

Determines whether Geotasks will show captions for each task.

Show Icons

Determines whether Geotasks will show icons for each task.

UnHide Bar when Flashing

Determines if Geotasks will unhide the Geobar it's on when a task flashes.
