What is the Gripper Menu?
The Gripper Menu is the menu you get when you right-click on a gripper. This menu gives you options for your GeoBar such as locking, hiding, and rotating.

Gripper Menu Options
Most of these should be easy to understand, but here it goes anyway... more explaination is included below this table for some options, others are linked to other areas of the wiki where you can read more.
| Menu Item |
Usage |
| Load Plugins |
Allows you to load GeoShell plugins onto a GeoBar from a list. If the plugin you want is not on the list, but you have it downloaded, simply choose Install Plugin from the bottom, point it to the plugin you want, and try again. |
| Unload Plugins |
Allows you to remove GeoShell plugins from a GeoBar. |
| Gripper Style |
Allows you to select any of the different styles included in the Geoshell core for the gripper on your bar. Please Note: This menu item is hidden on bars that have been skinned, since skinning hides the gripper style. |
| Rotate |
Rotates your GeoBar to/from a horizontal or vertical orientation. |
| No Hide |
Sets the GeoBar not to hide when the mouse leaves it. |
| Gripper Hide |
Sets the GeoBar to shrink to the left gripper when the mouse leaves. |
| Edge Hide |
Sets the GeoBar to hide to the edge of the screen. Think of what the Explorer taskbar did when it was set to autohide, this setting does the same thing. |
| Align Left |
Makes your GeoBar expand to right, thus leaving the left end of the GeoBar in the same position. Example: A new task appears in GeoTasks, the GeoBar will expand to the right. (Confusing? Maybe, but you'll understand after using it a few times.) |
| Align Center |
Same as Align Left, except that the GeoBar expands from the center. |
| Align Right |
Same as the previous two setting, except (you guessed it), the GeoBar expands to the left. |
| Always on Top |
Sets the GeoBar to be always on top of other windows. |
| Lock Position |
Locks the GeoBar to its current position and can only be moved while holding the ctrl button. |
| Close GeoBar |
Closes (deletes) the GeoBar. Note: When you close a GeoBar, or unload a plugin, all settings for the GeoBar/plugins are lost. |
Rotate

The rotate menu lets you change the orientation of your GeoBar between horizontal and vertical.
