The font settings here are simply a way for the skins to set the font. They will be ignored unless the ShellUI\Font Face is set to "skin". You should also set the skin name, of course (which is the folder name of the skin you want to use), unless you don't want to use a skin.

Standard This is the name of the font designated by the skin you have installed. It will be used if you set ShellUI\Font Face to "skin".

Here you can set the colors for the bars. If you set "Use System Colors" = 1 (in ShellUI\Bar Settings) then all the color settings here will actually be populated with the system color settings, so you can set it, then turn it off (set it = 0) and tweak the values here to create your custom settings, but make sure to export this key before you re-set "Use System Colors" to 1, or you will loose your tweaks.

The font settings here are simply a way for skins to specify a different font for menus than the base font. The won't get used unless either ShellUI\Font Face or ShellUI\Menu Settings\Font Face are set to "skin." To use the same font as the base skin font, set ShellUI\Skin\Menus\Font Face to "skin" ...
You can also set the menu colors here, and it's the same story as with the bar colors: if you set "Use System Colors" = 1 in ShellUI\Menu Settings, then all the color settings will actually be populated with the system color settings, so you can set it, then turn it off (set it = 0) and tweak to create a skin ...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\geo\GeoShell\ShellUI\Skin\Splash

The settings "Show Splash Screen" and "Show Splash Text" are only in ShellUI\Splash Settings, and determine whether there's a splash at all. Assuming that there is, the bitmap in ShellUI\Skin\Splash is the default splash (it must be relative to the skin directory, or a full absolute file-path). You can override the skin splash bitmaps (so you always use the same splash screen, regardless of your skin) in ShellUI\Splash Settings\Override Skin Bitmap, but the path there is relative to the "GeoShell\Skins" directory ...
As with the menu font settings, you can tell the splash to use the "skin" Font Face ... but if you override the skin splash bitmap, you probably want to set the font here too.
